Roses and bedside cabinets

The top of the cabinet…my first attempt at not only narrowboat style painting but also Annie Sloan chalk paint. I borrowed a book some years ago called Roses & Castles. It is harder than I thought, but I think I’ve succeeded to some extent. Best thing is that the cabinet is no longer looking tatty…but I do need to invest in some special brushes. Since I’ve had a clear out of unused materials from the studio I think I can make room for some. I’m not sure I’ll be pursuing a career in furniture up cycling just yet but ┬ácan see why people get addicted to Annie Sloane chalk paint!
